Kunsthall Grenland

Kunsthall Grenland is a Foundation and one of the region's leading art venues. We promote contemporary art and crafts through exhibitions, production stays at workspace 1400°, seminars and publications. In collaboration with Porsgrunn Municipality and Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik, the Porsgrunn Porcelain Scholarship is awarded annually to a young contemporary ceramicist. Kunsthall Grenland is an open and public-friendly arena with exhibition space in the city's cultural center. Outreach to schools and kindergartens takes place in close collaboration with the municipality's DKS coordinator. Since the establishment of the 1400° in 2022, Kunsthall Grenland has had a key function regionally and nationally in the focus on porcelain as a material in the field of contemporary art.

Main purpose: To raise awareness of and strengthen the position of contemporary ceramics and porcelain as a material.
