Oslo Kunstforening

Oslo Kunstforening is a kunsthalle for contemporary art, is the country’s first exhibition venue for art and the oldest member organization in Norwegian cultural life. Since 1936, Oslo Kunstforening has had its premises in Rådmannsgården between Bjørvika, Akershus Festning and Rådhusplassen.

 

Oslo Kunstforening works with exhibitions, talks, seminars and publications. Oslo Kunstforening is an introductory arena, working closely with artists and has a special commitment to the practical aspects of the productions where collaboration is key. OK has free admission to all its activities. Since 2007, Oslo Kunstforening has awarded an annual grant to a Norwegian artist in collaboration with the Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

 

Oslo Kunstforening’s main funding comes from the Ministry of Culture and the City of Oslo.
